Blackshirt Propaganda from ManMachine
To quote one of Murphys Laws...Everything goes wrong all at once.
Yup, damn sure as shit...or whatever that means anyway.
So I recently moved, I'm living at one of my friends house while he
has relocated for a new job. It is a very nice place, only 7 years old.
Completely furnished, etc...Well, the first week I'm here so far
the garage door operner has crapped out, the alarm key fob is on
the fringe, and the coffee maker stopped working today, which will lead
me to another story later on. Also, my 10" window fan stopped working
today, the cable TV, working fine yesterday, stopped working last
night. Apparently the digital box is fucked. I haven't seen TV in two days,
now for those who know well, that is like a crack addict going with out the
rock for two days. I'm out of my fucking mind, seriously. No Speed, no Mad
Money, Fast Money, no Science channel, no Simpsons! AARRGHH.
Hmmm, I'm detecting a pattern here, a disturbing one at that too. Oh,
I forgot to mention the central A/C also stopped working two days ago,
but fortunately I was able to fix that one myself! Turns out, the outdoor
condenser unit blew two 30 amp fuses. Luckily my friend keeps spares.
So far, the A/C is working okay, but blown fuses usually hide a more costly
problem, such as a compressor on the fritz...we will have to wait and see
if happens again. So in two weeks, 5 items have either broke or stopped
working. WTF!?!?!?!?! If I was the supersticious kind I would say something
is afoot...the universe is not centered or the planets are mis-aligned or some
shit like that. I wake up everyday now thinking, what next? What's going to
crap out today?
All this "on the fritz stuff 'ol chap", has taken a toll...as I'm one grouchy
mother fucker. I almost lost in work yesterday, what with the 93 mile drive
to the office, and then I had to re-boot the dell 3 fucking times...before
I could get ms word to work. I was on the brink of exploding.
Luckily I held it together, because I was about to destroy my desktop
computer. Since it is mine, and not the company's, no one could say a
damn thing. I have already ruined a mouse and a keyboard due to internal
circuitry overload....er ah yea. I would have regretted smashing a $500 desktop...
I'm in no position to be spending that kind of cash right now.
